Gulshan Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (GSCL) an Indian corporate entity was promoted by Late Shri Gulshan Rai Jain (a well renowned Industrialist & Philanthropist) and his son Dr. C.K. Jain in 1981. The Group has diversified interests and is engaged in manufacture of various Industrial Chemicals for Multiple Applications in several companies. The Group under the dynamic leadership of Dr. C.K. Jain (A Doctorate in Chemistry) is the single largest Indian producer of ‘Synthetic Filler’ popularly known as Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (Caco3) and Sorbitol 70% apart from International trade.The Company is engaged in manufacturing of ‘Sorbitol-70%’. Sorbitol, a starch derivative, sweet in taste, finds wide range application, the major uses in dentrifie, cosmetic, Pharma, Vitamin-C, food products etc. The plant was set-up in 1996 in the State of Gujarat in the parent company i.e. Gulshan Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. GPL was incorporated in 2000, to take over the Sorbitol project from GSCL in terms of scheme of Arrangement/ demerger. The plant is equipped with International Quality Equipment and Technology having the largest capacity in India. The Plant is capable to produce Crystaline and Non–crystaline grade of Sorbitol which is a unique feature as compared to other domestic plants.

The Group drives its source of inspiration, entrepreneurship, Corporate Vision and Philosphy, Independence, and corporate growth from Group’s founder Late Shri Gulshan Rai Jain who was a great Philanthropist, Dynamic Entrepreneur and Social Activist of his times. He was also a great social reformer. Under his stewardship and guidance, his son Dr. C.K. Jain has successfully managed and grown the organization to the present level of operations. At present, the group has three listed companies i.e. GSCL, GPL, and GCL.
