The company was incorporated on 7th May, 1981 as Ecoplast Pvt. Ltd. The name of the Company was changed to Ecoplast Limited on 18th June, 1994, for which a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies Gujrat on 11th July, 1994.

The Company operates with five three-layer blown film lines. The line installed in 1995 has computerised process controls and a state-of-the art winder from N.America The Company is self sufficient in captive power. The Company has a six colour printing line for films and other post-extrusion equipment The Factory and Office area are approx. 3000 square meters The Employee Strength is approximately Ninety.  

It is the policy of the company to deliver to the customers only those films, which meet clearly established requirements. The company is committed to develop film structures, based on an understanding of the ultimate performance requirement of our customer's product. We will create an environment, which encourages employees to prevent defects. We will strive to reduce costs with continual improvement in work processes, to maintain leadership and enhance customer satisfaction. We will review the effectiveness, of our Quality Management System and Quality Objectives, periodically for its continual improvement.  

Ecoplast Ltd. is in the business of manufacturing and selling polyethylene films for flexible packaging and other specialty applications. The films currently manufactured are known as multilayer films produced by the blown film Co-extrusion process. Multilayer films, are a combination of two or more thermoplastics co-extruded to form one homogenous film, but with distinct individual layers, which depending on their structure, can provide a range of properties not possible with monolayer films. The Company further expanded its multilayer film production capacity by 2500 MT in 1995. Higher outputs per cm. of die circumference. Narrower tolerance in circumferential thickness of the film. Improvement in film flatness (critical for subsequent high speed lamination process). Improvement in yield tolerances, i.e. weight per unit area of film. Roll winding characteristics and subsequent easy unwinding of films with "tack" or "very low" coefficient of friction (hitherto not possible). Film widths upto 1.5 mts. thereby opening up opportunities for new applications.
